Title: Where's the wordstar.dot file?
Post by: MBaconAuthor on September 05, 2012, 11:21:55 PM
How do I find the wordstar.dot file in the list of files I got when I bought the emulator and opened the zip?  The files that show up are:

BlankDoc
Commands
FAQ
FILKE_ID.DZ
FILELIST
LICENSE
Ombdsman
README
Tutorial
WordStar (icon)
WordStar (template)
wsDoc

Thanks.
I know the menus don't work with Win7 Word2010.  I actually am using the emulator for just the cursor keys, the "g" delete key and that's about it.

PS I used the Regedit method and quickly swapped the keys.

It looks like you have Windows Explorer set to not show file extensions of known file types. This is why it's not so obvious which file is which. The one you want is the template file.

Please check the following updated guides for installation and registration:

If you want to set Windows Explorer so it shows the missing file extensions you can do it by following the steps below:
The previously hidden file extensions should now be shown.
