hi,
I have two questions
1. Can wordstar for dos print to an USB printer ?
2. If so, what should I type at the port name ?
I have a Mac OS 9. I use virtual PC to emulate windows.
Then I use wordstar for my document. Now, I am trying to print this document which raised these two questions.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
regards

If you are using OS/2 the answer is yes. Ports can be redirected.
If you are using Windows, then it can be done using a Postscript Printer driver which creates a PS file which is captured by a file called PrintFile which then runs the freeware program Ghostscipt to print to the default printer. The connection is immaterial. Detailed instructions are on my Web Space:

Sorry I cannot make a comment on MacOS since I do not use it.

In addition PrintFile will capture a spooled file and sent it to a printer with a USB connection. A member of the WS List provided me with this information yesterday.

PrintFile is a Windows utility, which should presumably work with your Mac Windows emulator. You can find it at http://www.lerup.com/printfile/descr.html. It is a very tiny download.
Good luck,

I want to download Wordstar for windows or an equivalent. The download page seems to bomb in the middle of the download :)
You'll have to be a little more specific about what you're trying to do.
WordStar for Windows is not legally available anywhere for download as far as I know.
Is it the PrintFile Windows utility download that you're having trouble with?
deedee ???
